This is intended to give a general overview of the Paintball For Beginners. There are so many paintball guns, paintball gun accessories and paintball gear on the market that it can be hard for a beginner to know where to start. The great thing paintball is that you don't need really expensive equipment to play. If you really want to, find a few other beginner paintball players and buy a couple of the cheapest guns you can find (online is a great place to look), get some cheap masks and start shooting at each other. There, you just experienced your first paintball match for under 75 dollars. If it turns out paintball isn't for you, sell the guns and the mask and you didn't lose much of anything. If it turns out you had a ton of fun (which I'm sure you did), then there's an exciting world waiting for you.
After a few games, you'll find that your cheap paintball gun is lacking. There are a lot of options open to you here, and again you don't have to spend a ton of money on your first upgrade. I recommend checking out tippman paintball guns. They offer pretty solid guns for not a large amount of money. Tipmann paintball guns are also readily available and there are a ton of paintball gun accessories available for them. Specifically, the tippman 98 custom is what I used and I found it to be a great value and solid paintball gun. Obviously there are a few others you may be interested in and they may be great guns. But from personal experience, tipmann paintball guns are an excellent choice for someone looking to upgrade from a cheaper plastic gun or even a solid first gun.
Next, you may want to get some better protective gear. Cheap masks have a bad habit of fogging up. Paintball masks and goggles with anti fog coating can be a lifesaver and you'll be thanking yourself later when paintballs are flying over your head and you aren't worrying about not being able to see out of a fogged up paintball mask.
Paintball can be a great way to enjoy the outdoors and I hope this article on paintball guns for beginners helps you out.
